Pauline Callais is a multi-talented Parisienne vocalist, artist and performer. She was born and raised in Paris from a family of artists and musicians. Pauline was classically trained though since has focused on a more contemporary style.
Pauline’s powerful and soul-stirring voice develops a wide array of tones and colours, serving melodies that keep in your mind. Among Pauline’s influences are Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Diana Krall, to name a few.
Pauline has great stage presence and energy when performing, delivering a memorable cabaret style performance.
Pauline now lives in Kingston, Surrey, where she regularly performs in various London venues and clubs, featuring her own unique interpretation of songs both modern and retro, making an emotional statement. Her versatile repertoire covers songs from early 1920’s blues and jazz, to soul and funk.
Pauline et je ne sais Quoi play Swing Jazz which originate from Paris during the 1930’s to the 1950’s (also known as Gypsy Swing and Jazz Manouche).
The 1920’s and 30’s gave the World some of the most romantic and most influential Swinging numbers in history. Songs that Pauline and her Band love to keep alive. Taking you back to the Golden Age. They are perfect to complete a romantic setting, a sophisticated occasion.

They perform either as a Duo with vocals and rhythmic jazz guitar or as a Trio, including a double bass.
